An elderly couple, who holiday in the same place every year and
own their own beach hut, await the annual arrival of the awful Billet
family, whilst wondering also what has happened to the Woodersons
who haven't been seen on the beach for years. When the Billets arrive
with a recently single Pauline who's rather on the rebound and then
come not the Woodersons but 'renters' - the affable Doug and his
two nieces - the scene is set for a gentle and well-observed comedy
that will undoubtedly appeal to all.
A dispute about the ownership of
sand in front of the beach huts soon breaks out. |
