Double Bill Plus
This was a production with a diffrence because instead of a single, full length play we chose to stage two short plays and 3 short and amusing sketches by Harold Pinter.
The Monkey's Paw
adapted from a short Story by WW Jacobs
The Monkey's Paw by Louis N. Parker is based on a horror story by W.W. Jacobs, published in 1902. The story has its origin in traditional tales in which three wishes are granted, but they come with an enormous price. We aim to emphasise the melodrama in this piece through sound and lighting. The Dear Departed
by Stanley Houghton
“What it is to have a low, money-grubbing spirit!” declares one of the characters. This is a black, Lancastrian comedy of social pretension. Revelation follows shameful revelation. Stanley Houghton also wrote Hindle Wakes, one of our previous productions.

Three Short Revue Sketches
by Harold Pinter
These comic sketches show Pinter’s fascination with the oddities of human behaviour and his delight in the language of ordinary people.
