Play On
a comedy

The play is based on an amateur drama group rehearsing for a play called Murder Most Foul by new playwright Phyllis Montague, who has granted a licence without any royalties. She keeps changing the script almost up to the first performance.

Naturally everyone has to play two characters - the actor and the part in the play. Props work when they should not but not when they should.

It all leads to a mad climax when Phyllis decides to give a speech at the curtain calls.
