Mdg News January 2006
Mdg – 25 YEARS ON!
2006 is here at last and as many of you will know this year Moulton Drama Group is 25 years old. It seems incredible that in early January 1981 (which seems like only yesterday) I saw a poster advertising MADCA’s intention of starting up a drama group. I went along to the first meeting and the rest, as they say, is history.
During the past 25 years we’ve had many
happy times (with just a few arguments in between!), members have been
born and sadly some have died. We’ve had a lot of successes and a few failures
but now its time forget the bad times and
CELEBRATE the good ones.
We plan to make 2006 special by holding 3 nostalgic evenings which will celebrate the last 25 years in totally different ways:
Saturday 10 June
A totally nostalgic look at how Mdg evolved and thrived. Presented by Richard Kirkham and Sheila Hetherington
Saturday 1 July
A slightly satirical look at the last 25 years. Written & devised by
Steve Birtwisle and performed by members.
Saturday 2 September
A social celebration with a sumptuous supper and entertainment.
