Our History Early in 1980 Moulton and District Community Association (MADCA), which is responsible for running Moulton Village Hall, felt the hall was being underused and that a drama group would be good for the community. Accordingly a public meeting was held in January 1981 and 40 enthusiastic people attended. Five months later, in May 1981 the Moulton Drama group was born and its first play – Billy Liar- was successfully performed in November of that year. The Group went on to win its first award, for Dramatic Achievement, in 1984. Since then MDG has gone from strength to strength picking up many additional awards along the way. In 2006 MDG celebrated its silver jubilee with a year of special events. For a snapshot of the present click here
